Travis Scott dropped his new album RODEO the other day, and it was fuckin’ heater! Inspiring as hell and kicks up your Hussle just a notch. So Kent Avery and I decided to take a ride, dip out around LA and bang La Flame as our soundtrack to Explore into the night.

A few months ago I stopped by The Lab in West Covina to hang out with Valerie and watch the dance crew get down. While I was there I met 13 year old Jonathan, who lit up the room as he rocked his routine with style. Right away I knew this Kid was the future so it was inevitable that I would bring him on for a Hussle shoot.

I got to spend a week with two talented musicians – Los Angeles to New York transplants now living in Brooklyn. As I fell asleep to the sound of the conception of music, it echoed in my ears and drowned out my thoughts. All I could think was … This is ” GOLD ”

Two weeks later I was boarding Virgin America flight from LAX to JFK, strapped with the best coats and jackets in my wardrobe.

A trip down the Vimeo rabbit hole is a beautiful experience. Unlike its counterpart YouTube, Vimeo is fresh and creative – rarely short of amazing. Today I found myself wandering the Staff Picks channel and recognized a nice little pattern – It was Hard Work, Innovation, and Adversity. Here are my picks from todays adventure down Vimeo Land – Oh…and this ones for the Husslers…whatever that Hussle may be.

I took a trip to quick 2 day trip up to San Francisco last week with Tyler Ash to Explore. We ran around and got some cool night shots of the bridges and day shots of the city. Frisco is dope, always live with culture and art in action. It’s a good place to go if you need a little jolt on the creative side of your brain.

50 Cent dropped Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2003 and went 6x Platinum – Fifty was the inner voice of the Hussler. This album fueled us back then..and still does today. Listening to this album today though, I have a very different perspective than the first time I heard it as youngster. There are some timeless lyrics and quotes in this album that relate far beyond the surface level.

Journey of The Beast is a short film by Sebastian Linda about Dreams and Skating. Sebastian and a few skaters from Europe Travel over to Indonesia and introduce skating to the youth that have never seen it before. They skate through the villages and rural streets while having fun with local youth. The film is dope on all levels and inspiring, kinda wants to make you get up and skate….for a cause.

These competitions are always fun to watch because the essence of grit and grind are strongly present. In Crossfit you have to Hussle..
